The Highlands at Hilltop, the new rental apartment complex at the western edge of Verona, is almost fully rented. Opened in March, the Highlands has leased 91% of its apartments.

Of the 95 apartments built in the first phase of the complex, there are just eight two-bedroom apartments left, ranging in price from $2,600 to $2,700 a month. Those costs do not include utilities and there is a $400 yearly amenities fee. There are two outside parking spaces allocated for each apartment, but residents can also elect to rent a space in Highland’s underground garage.

The complex includes amenities such as a heated outdoor pool, billiard room and private movie theater.

Roseland Property Company is expected to begin construction of 130 more Highlands apartments soon. When completed, the properties will generate an annual $1.5 million payment in lieu of taxes, 90% of which will go to town coffers.
