Verona’s hopes for a playoff berth in the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 1 got a little closer to reality on Saturday, when the Hillbillies trounced the team from Montclair’s Immaculate Conception High School, 35-12.

QB Matt Rosenfeld was once again in complete command of the field, delivering touchdown pass after touchdown pass. Cooper Neale, Mike Harrington, Colin Farawell, Frankie Greco and Billy Meade were on the receiving end, and they put Verona up 35-zip by half time. There was some good defense too, with sacks by both Luke Sniatkowski and Joe Pami.

Fred Goode was there and got these shots on and off the field.
