Haunted House? Head To Forest

It’s been a well-kept secret in the Forest Avenue section of Verona for a decade: A haunted house. Shhhh. The Fogarty family at 72 South Prospect (corner of Pease) puts its all into Halloween decorating and creates what our tipster says is a “seriously spooky” haunted house. (We’re showing the house in daylight to not scare you away.)

The Fogarty’s house is only haunted for 90 minutes on Halloween, which this year is Sunday night from
7 to 8:30 p.m. And there’s a benefit for the community if you go: For the past three years, the family has collected donations for the Verona Children’s Fund.

  1. This house was owned by the Leone family from the early 60’s to sometime in the 80’s (approx). Sandy, Timmy, Tommy and Sue were all friends of mine and plenty of good times were had inside those walls. thanks for posting the picture.
