There are lots of costume events for kids this weekend, but Jane Eliasof, who volunteers for the Montclair Historical Society, has let us know about one that seems just right for grown-ups: A costume party at Evergreens, that Carpenter Gothic mansion in Upper Montclair.
On Saturday, October 30, from 7:30 to 10 p.m., you can take a chance on some “treats” at a silent auction and 50/50 raffle, and get a behind-the-scenes tour of the restoration of this home, which is also known as the Charles Shultz House. Light refreshments, wine, and beer will be served. The cost is $25 for members and $35 for non-members. Call 973-744-1796 to purchase your tickets or email the MHS at [email protected].
