Stephen Sondheim’s Company has always been one of my favorite musicals, both for Sondheim’s lyrics (in songs like “Another Hundred People” and “Getting Married Today”) and his sharp-eyed portrait of life in New York City. A friend who saw the last Broadway revival of Company with me has just e-mailed to say it’s now at Bloomfield College’s Westminster Arts Center. She saw it last night and says it was “very well done”. The performers are the Montclair Operetta Club, an all-volunteer troupe. The show runs tomorrow, October 24, at 2 p.m. and Thursday, Friday and Saturday of next week at 8 p.m. Tickets range from just $15 for students to $25 for adults, and you can get more information here.
