Verona resident Lance Barnard, a senior at Montclair Kimberley Academy, was a panelist at the New Jersey Financial Literacy Summit held at Rutgers University on Wednesday,October 13. The Financial Literacy Summit was designed to raise awareness of the importance of financial literacy education and the resources available to support instruction in grades K-12, as well as the importance of a new financial literacy high school graduation requirement. It was attended by New Jersey educators, administrators and policymakers and included speakers such as Muriel Siebert, the first woman member of the New York Stock Exchange.
