Last Wednesday, Verona kids made a special effort to walk to school. They also created posters to illustrate one of the Verona Environmental Commission‘s key programs, to end idling by vehicles parked near schools.

The posters–with messages like “Be An Idol, Don’t Idle” and “Don’t Bully The Earth”–have now  been put on display at the four elementary schools, and on the VEC’s Web site. The best posters will be recognized in a special ceremony at Verona Town Hall on Monday, November 1 at 7 p.m. Winning artists will each receive $50. You can see all the great posters here.
