OK, it’s a haunted gingerbread house that’s up for grabs, but the idea is a good one. Drop coats that your family no longer needs at Hobcaw Cafe this month, and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a gingerbread creation made by Hobcaw owner Nancy McArthur. The coats will be given to the Operation Cheer Soup Kitchen in Newark. McArthur has been helping the soup kitchen for more than seven years now, in partnership with her husband, who is the minister of the Roseland Presbyterian Church.
