The fall session of skating classes for kids and adults begins this week at Essex County’s Richard J. Codey arena in West Orange, and there is still time to register. There are classes for toddlers and beginning figure skaters, basic hockey skating skills, precision skating and jumps and spins. The arena’s adult class is for those 15 and older.

All classes are seven weeks long and cost $100, plus a rental fee of $4 per session if you don’t have your own skates. Alas, the sign-up form is not online, so call the arena at (973) 731-3828.
