Roland Straten, Republican candidate for Congress from the 8th Congressional District, will hold a Town Hall Meeting on Health Care on Friday, October 8 at 7 p.m. at the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Avenue.
Straten says he is holding the meeting to let 8th District residents express their views and concerns about health care issues, including the new health care law. Straten believes that the public deserves answers to its questions about the impact of this law and has signed the “ObamaCare Repeal Pledge,” which calls for the law’s repeal and replacement. Straten is challenging seven-term incumbent Democrat Bill Pascrell, who supported President Obama’s health care initiative.
The public is invited to attend and coffee and refreshments will be served. For more information about Straten, see his campaign Web site.
