Lakeside Avenue was shut down just after 3 p.m. on Monday after a Volvo XC70 SUV traveling south on Lakeside hit an unoccupied parked Honda Accord. The Volvo then rolled over and came to rest on its roof. Verona Police Chief Doug Huber says the accident “looked worse than it was.” Verona police and emergency response teams got the driver of the Volvo out and transported her to the hospital, but Huber says she did not appear to have life-threatening injuries. Lakeside was reopened about an hour later. (Photo by John McClellan)
