Cardie Mortimer has been a television executive by day and an executive chef in every other possible moment. Earlier this summer, the Verona resident partnered with several other foodies to create Chef’s Lab, a cooking school and kitchen store in Montclair.
On Saturday, September 18, Mortimer will be teaching a class on steakhouse cooking at Chef’s Lab. The class runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and you’ll learn how to use rubs and marinades, how to grill a steak to perfection and how to make all the classic steakhouse side dishes. This is a hands-on class and it will cost you $65 per person to join in. You can register here.
