Connie Pifher of Verona’ Health Department has passed this one along. The United Way of North Essex Family Success Center is going to be presenting two 12-week seminars for parents beginning next Monday, September 13.

The first class is for fathers and male caregivers only and it is called F.E.L.L.A.S. (Fathers Empowered to Learn, Lead, and Achieve Success). The second is called Active Parenting Now and it is open to all parents, grandparents, and caregivers. The classes run from 6 to 8 p.m. every week; they are free, and include meals and other incentives. Babysitting is available for the Active Parenting class.

The United Way of North Essex is located at 60 South Fullerton Avenue in Montclair. To register, call 973-746-4235, ext. 210.
