If you don’t have plans this weekend, you might want to head down to the Camden waterfront on Saturday for the Red Bull Flugtag. It’s a competition among human-powered flying machines and one entry will have a Verona connection. Tom Lenehan, a Lehigh University senior from Verona, is part of team Meat Sauce, which has built a flying saucer. The Morning Call of Allentown has the story here.

The Red Bull Flugtag is free, and according to the sponsors, a large crowd is expected. It takes place at Pier 1 on the Camden Waterfront, which is just upriver from the Adventure Aquarium. Gates open at 11 a.m., but the first flight isn’t until 1 p.m.
