Rec Department Fall Registration Is Aug. 24

There’s a big lineup of fall programs at the Verona Recreation Department and you can register your kids for them next week.  Online registration will begin at 6 p.m. on August 24 and in-person registration will be held at the Verona Community Center the same day from 6 to 8 p.m.

Soccer Programs (Sept. & Oct.):

  • Small Fry soccer for ages 3 & 4, begins in September
  • Kinderkickers Soccer, begins in September
  • 1st and 2nd Grade Soccer, begins in September, Saturdays
  • 3rd and 4th Grade Soccer, begins in September, Saturdays
  • 5th-8th Grade Soccer, begins in September, Saturdays
  • Junior Soccer, Pre-K, begins in September
  • Senior Soccer, K and up, begins in September

Football (Sept. & Oct.):

  • Flag Football, Kindergarten, begins in September, Saturdays
  • Flag Football, grades 1 & 2, begins in September, Saturdays
  • Flag Football, grades 3-5, begins in September, Saturdays

Karate: For ages 5 and up, begins in October and runs 8 weeks.

Cross Country Track: For grades 3-8, begins in September

Adult Mixed Doubles Tennis: Begins in September

Girls Volleyball Team Tryouts: September 14, 15 & 16, 2010 at 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the VCC (Register online now)

Girls Volleyball Clinics: Begins in September

Men’s Fall Softball: Begins in September

Additional VRD/VCC Programs (Sept. & Oct.):

  • Indoor Soccer Squirts, ages 3-5
  • Kinetic Kidz, ages 2-5
  • Creative Movement, ages 3-5
  • T-ball, ages 3-6
  • Tennis Tots, ages 4-6
  • Future Hoops, ages 3-5
  • Ballet/Tap Dance, ages 5 & 6

Elementary School (Grades K-4):

  • Tennis Time, grades 1 & 2
  • Tennis Tots, ages 4-6
  • Music Theater, grades 1 & 2
  • Bowling, grades K-8
  • Tennis Time, grades 1 & 2
  • Future Hoops, ages 5 & 6

Middle School (Grades 5-8):

  • Bowling, grades K-8
  • Tennis, grades 3-6
  • Tennis, grades 7 & 8

High School & Adults:

  • Sports Night: Open gym on Tuesday nights for Verona residents only begins in October at HBW
  • Senior Exercise: Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings
  • Zumba: Monday and Wednesday evenings
  • Rediscover Fitness: Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday evenings

Specials & Ongoing Activities:

  • Halloween Show & Costume Parade for grades K-4
  • Golf outing for Verona residents only
  • Book of the Month Group: Meets last Wednesday of every month at the VCC
  • Over 40 Basketball at VCC for Verona residents only
  • VMAC Family Night
