Today’s the day. H.B. Whitehorne Middle School special education teacher Glenn Haerle, will be leading a cohort of colleagues up Mount Washington to raise money for cerebral palsy. While Verona is expecting steamy rain today, the weather at the New Hampshire peak is expected to be mostly clear with temps in the 50s. We’ll bring you pictures of the climb and the celebration at the top as soon as we get them.
Haerle’s climb will raise money for United Cerebral Palsy of New York City, and you can use this donation page to join his supporters. Or, if you’re going to be down the shore on Saturday, August 28, you can attend an event that will be raising money to fund production of a documentary about the climb. It’s going to be held at Rockn’ Joes Coffeehouse in Point Pleasant Beach at 7 p.m. That’s at the corner of Delaware, and you can use the map below for directions.[mappress]
Mr. Haerle is an inspiration to our children. Wishing them a great hike today. Will be making a donation.
