We may not be getting a Starbucks anytime soon, but there are plenty of places in Verona to grab a cup of coffee, to sip or to go. Town Council member Jay Sniatkowski has his favorites; we’re sure you have yours. Yes, we know these places don’t have Starbucks’ comfy seating, but some do have wireless Internet.
So tell us: Who’s got the best coffee in Verona? If we’ve failed to list your favorite, let us know in the comments field below.

I long for a coffee shop in town similar to Rockin’ Joe in Caldwell.
I didn’t realize it until today, when I was writing the update on Glenn Haerle’s climb, that Rockn’ Joe is a franchise. In addition to Caldwell, there are locations in Millburn, Cranford, Westfield and Point Pleasant and a bunch of other places. http://www.rocknjoe.net/
When I first moved to town two years ago, I couldn’t believe there was no good coffee place in Verona for a latte, cappuccino, etc. I even asked around in Terry’s one day, and no one could recommend a place. With such an Italian-American population, I found it hard to believe I couldn’t get a worthwhile espresso-to-go in town. DiPaolo’s residential cappuccino maker left much to be desired. I thought Trend was an option, being that it bills itself as a coffee bar, but it seemed the coffee there was much of an afterthought, too. I’m glad the Hobcaw is around to serve up “advanced” coffee drinks. Now, if we could just get a drive-through coffee place, that would hit the spot!
