Summer Music To Perform ‘Bye Bye Birdie’

Tickets go on sale today for the Verona Summer Music production, the musical “Bye Bye Birdie”.

Show dates are Thursday and Friday, July 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Verona High School. You can buy advance tickets through music teacher David Tintle during from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at VHS, or at the door the night of the performances. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $8 for students and seniors in advance, and $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors at the door.

More than 50 Verona students from elementary school through high school are in the cast and crew of “Bye Bye Birdie”. The musical, which was first performed on Broadway in 1960, is loosely based on the drafting of Elvis Presley into the U.S. Army in 1958.
