Heads up, Verona beach-goers: The state Department of Environmental Protection has just done its first test of the Atlantic for the season, and it is ready for your arrival. According to the Press of Atlantic City, the state found clean water at all 188 sites from Barnegat Light to Cape May Point.

The DEP does regular checks of the water throughout beach season. If you want to check on your favorite spot before heading down the shore, check its ocean monitoring page here.
