The warm weather at the end of spring break was a sure sign of things to come, as well as things ending. The school year is almost over, the pool is only about 4 weeks away from opening, and soon there will be fireflies in my yard. The summer brings with it days at the pool, summer camps, s’mores, and lemonade stands. Just in time for us to all need a little structure again, school starts up in the fall.
My own kids have been looking forward to the pool opening since February, when they asked me to drive by it. Admittedly, I was longing for summer too and gladly obliged. The remaining weeks will pass quickly. All of that said, look for stories from us at MyVeronaNJ ranging from summer activities and camps to day trips. And, speaking of school, the kindergarten workshops will be ending this week. For those of you with children entering kindergarten in the fall, we will be sharing enrichment programs available in town.
So, while the school year is not quite over, and summer is not quite here there is clearly plenty to look forward to in the coming months. Including more lemonade stands.
