For those of you who prefer to sign up your kids for old-fashioned fun the old-fashioned way, today is the day. In-person registration for Verona’s summer playgrounds will take place at the VCC from 9 to 1. If you have a Pre-K child and want to sign him or her up for Tot-Lot, you must sign up in person, with a birth certificate and immunization record. On-line registration for all other programs began in April and continues until May 14. After that date there will be a small late fee assessed.

The four summer day-camp options in Verona are below. All run from 8 am to 3 pm.

  • Tot-Lot: For children who will be entering kindergarten in September 2010 and who will be 4 by Oct. 1, 2010. Hours are 9:30 to 11:30 am and 1 to 3 pm.
  • Primary Park: For children entering first and second grade in September 2010; held at Laning Avenue School.
  • Elementary Zone: For children entering third and fourth grade in September 2010; held at F.N.Brown School.
  • Summer Adventure: For children entering fifth through eighth grade in September 2010; held at Verona High School.

There will be an information meeting about the summer playgrounds on May 20 at the VCC at 7 pm.
