If there’s a bit more edge on the court as the Verona High School boys’ tennis team plays Pompton Lakes this afternoon, it might be due to a bit of press the team got in the Star Ledger.

A brief piece in yesterday’s Ledger dubbed the VHS boys the “Team To Watch”. Here’s what the paper had to say, in part:

Verona has been real close to winning its first sectional crown since 1982 the past few seasons. And with its top five starters back from a year ago, this could be the season it finally does it.

Verona’s record so far is 9-3-0.
