Baseball’s Back, And So’s Carmela

Carmela Vece is back at the Everett Field concession stand

The weather this morning felt more like football season than baseball, but no matter. The Verona Baseball Softball League kicked off its 2010 season with the parade from Verona Park to Everett Field, where Mayor Teena Schwartz and Town Council members Jay Sniatkowski, Frank Sapienza and Ken McKenna threw the first pitches of the 2010 season.

But there was another celebrity on hand at Everett, too. Carmela Vece, injured in an auto accident earlier this year, was back in the concession stand. Yeah!
