Countdown To Summer Begins

The waterslides are waiting...

In a little over 8 weeks, the water in Verona will be back where it belongs–in the Verona Pool. The town has begun to send out membership applications for this summer, and here’s what you need to know.

In deference to the times, Verona is not raising membership rates this summer. A family membership is still $395 or $480 for a family plus babysitter. A single membership is $255, while the couples price is $360. For one parent and one child the cost is $340, and the senior citizen rate is $135. But these rates are good only until April 30, so answer your membership letter promptly. The town will tack on an extra $20 if you get your membership in after the end of next month.

One new thing that isn’t in the letter that you should know: You’ll be able to buy guest passes in advance, at a discount. According to Recreation Department manager Jim Cunningham, a booklet of 6 guest passes will be priced like 5 guest entrances at the gate.

To pay for your membership, go to Town Hall. That’s also the place to go if you didn’t get a membership letter and want one. To get an application to be a lifeguard, go to the Rec Department office in the Community Center.

Bring on the fun!
