The Essex County Environmental Center in Roseland is once again holding its “Little Explorers” nature program for toddlers, and the spring session begins April 1.

“Little Explorers” is a child-caregiver class that uses stories, walks and crafts to develop an awareness and appreciation for science and nature for the child as well as the caregiver. Each session covers a different nature or science topic. Space is limited and advance registration and payment of $6 per session is required. For information, call 973-228-8776.

Classes for children ages 2½ to 3½ will be held on Thursdays, from April 1 through May 27 from 10 to 11 a.m. The class for children ages 3 ½ to 5 years will also meet on Thursdays, and there are two sessions: 1 to 2 p.m. or 3 to 4 p.m. The class for 2½ to 3½ year-old will meet Mondays, from April 5 through May 24 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
