Now is the time to clean out your clutter: Verona High School’s sophomore class is organizing a town-wide garage sale for Saturday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For a $25 fee, the students will place your name and address on a map of sale locations and list any “hot-ticket” items you’d like to highlight. They do the advertising and direct customers to your home; you run your sale and keep all the profits. Proceeds from the registration fees will offset the price of the prom and senior banquet. For more information, e-mail Elaine DeVita at VHS.
so where do you get the map? (and the info email link you have is broken)
Mike, you pick up the map at the front door to VHS, starting at 9 a.m. And thanks for pointing out the e-mail link problem. It’s fixed now. Ms. DeVita’s e-mail is [email protected] .
thanks….no web posting? or would that be too easy?
Hopefully, the new school Web site format will give them the flexibility to do things like establishing the map–and downloading it for a fee.
for a FEE? that makes no sense….how hard it to make a list of addresses into a PDF & post it somewhere? (not very, I do it myself) you’d think they want to make it as easy as possible for people to get the list…
Whooops. Should have written my comment more clearly. The fee is to list a garage sale on the town-wide garage sale map, much like you’d pay to post a classified ad. There is no charge to get the map.
whew! you had we worried there!
yes, that makes much more sense…would love to see it really accessible though….
