Power was restored to most affected areas in Verona last night, including the Claridge II building and the Pilgrim Plaza shopping center.

UPDATE: Stocker Road and Upland Way are still without power, thanks to a tree that hit a house and power line in Essex Fells during the storm. Residents are being told the lights may not be back on until Thursday.

Other towns around our area remain without electricity, however. According to PSE&G, as of last night, 76,000 customers statewide were without power, and about 61,000 of them are in Bergen County.

According to Baristanet, Willowbrook Mall remains closed because of flooding. And many stretches of highways around our area, including Route 46, which as of this morning had flooding in both directions between where the highway crosses Route 23 in Wayne and Plymouth Road in Fairfield. Data from the National Weather Service indicates that the Passaic river should crest in Little Falls today at 11.97 feet.
