The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit is holding its monthly healing service this Thursday, March 11 at 7 p.m. Following long-time church traditions, the quiet, contemplative service is lead by a lay member of the congregation and features scripture readings, healing prayer and Holy Communion.
Each month, the service focuses on one aspect of its attendees’ lives that may benefit from healing. Previous themes have been healing of grief and loss, healing of relationships, and healing of broken promises. In keeping with the season of Lent, the church says this month’s theme is temptation, whether that is to own material possessions, give in to addictions, or simply to give up faith.
The service will be held in Holy Spirit’s chapel, which you can enter from the side door by the parking lot. Holy Spirit is located across from the H.B. Whitehorne field on Gould Street. [mappress]
