VHS junior Colin Farawell will be in Atlantic City this weekend, where he will wrestle for the state title. The Hillbilly Wrestling star won the regional championship on February 27, after he defeated top-seed Michael Scrozzo of Queen of Peace in the title bout, 4-2, in the 189 weight class. The Star Ledger is promising live coverage of the entire weekend including video, and you can follow it all here. The preliminaries start at 5 p.m. Friday night, and run through Sunday afternoon.

UPDATE: Farawell lost his first match, a 5-3 decision, to Tyler Rios of Highland Park on Friday night, but he subsequently won 2 “wrestleback” matches. As of mid-afternoon, he was in the semi-finals for 3rd place.
