Magic At The Library

myveronanj-magicThis Wednesday, February 17 at 3 p.m., amazing things will happen at the Verona Library. Magician Bob Conrad will present his “Festival of Fun,” a 45-minute program of magic, puppetry and ventriloquism. The show,  recommended for children ages 4 and up, is free of charge but you must sign up in advance at the library.

Older children, ages 5 and up, can play  Book Bingo at the library this Tuesday, February 16. All participants will win prizes for participating. Check the library for the time.

The final winter break activity will a be movie on Thursday afternoon, featuring films based on Mercer Mayer’s popular “Boy, Dog and Frog” books.

While you’re at the library, you can  register for other winter children’s programs. Storytime sessions begin again on February 23rd and continue through March 23. There are programs  for toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years; kindergarteners ages 4 to six, and a group combining both age ranges.

“First Timers, Nursery Rhymers,” a new program of songs, rhymes, knee bounces and simple stories for babies up to 17 months will take place on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. beginning February 23.
