The seniors on the Verona-Glen Ridge Hockey team were honored before the start of Friday’s game against Montclair Kimberley Academy at the Codey Arena in West Orange. The graduating seniors from the town of Verona are: Tyler Roeland (#8),  Mack Kirby (#29, next to Roeland), Ian Garsman (#26, to Kirby’s left), and Jocelyn Smith (#25, lower right).

The team lost the contest to MKA 6-3, hampered by a third period hat trick by MKA’s Mark Bowen. Verona goals were scored by Nikos Polis, Alekos Polis and Eric Thiele. Verona-Glen Ridge’s record stands at 10-7-2.

There’s still time to see the hockey team in action: They face West Orange on Friday at 9:15 p.m. at Codey Arena and Montclair on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Clary Anderson Arena.
