The Boys’ Basketball team scored a decisive victory over archrival Cedar Grove last night in the Hillbilly gym, 56-49. After a slow first quarter, Verona went on a scoring spree in the second, closing the period leading 23-18 after Eddie Nicastro’s back-to-back three-pointers. Verona held off a fourth-quarter surge by Cedar Grove with the help of Bobby Kaslander and Brian Farrell’s flawless foul-shooting. Farrell and Noah Herman were high-scorers with 18 and 17 points, respectively; Justin Bruso (17 rebounds) and Bobby Kaslader (11) dominated the boards.
