MyVeronaNJ-snowflakeDepending on how much you like winter, you may be cheered or dismayed to hear that there could be as much as a foot of snow headed our way, starting this afternoon.

According to NewJerseyNewsroom.com, the New Jersey Department of Transportation crews have begun to put a brine solution down on certain roadways to keep the snow from bonding to the roads and make them easier to clear later. But NJDOT is still urging caution when driving, and it is reminding motorists that state law requires them to clear snow the snow from their vehicle’s roof, hood, trunk and windshield before heading out.

There are a lot of sporting events on the calendar for Verona tonight and several tomorrow as well; and the Verona Sports Boosters association’s annual Beefsteak Dinner Dance is Saturday night at the community center. Check MyVeronaNJ for cancellation information. If your driving is going to take you out of town, check here for road conditions.
