MyVeronaNJ-Girl-Scout-CookiesTomorrow, Friday, is the last day to order Thin Mints and other Girl Scout cookie favorites. This year’s cookies cost $4 per box and will be delivered to your door after February 19. Apart from classics like the caramel-rolled, coconut and chocolate-covered Samoa, buttery Trefoils and peanutty Do-Si-Dos, there is a new kid on the block and he’s healthy, too: The Thank U Berry Munch cookie is made with cranberries and white fudge.

If a uniform-clad Brownie or Girl Scout hasn’t beaten down your door yet and you’d like to purchase cookies, contact your local elementary school for a troop leader’s number. (Just click on the link for the school on the right hand side of our home page.) If you don’t get your order in by the end of the day Friday, don’t panic: Scouts from OLL will be selling cookies after all the masses on March 7. For more information about Girl Scouts in our area and their activities, see their Web site. You can find recipes such as yummy Thin Mint Brownies (and other delectable goodies) here.
