my-veronanj-hypnotistYou could almost call it “Skylr: The Reality Show.” On Thursday evening at 7:00, a group of VHS students who don’t shrink from the spotlight will be onstage vying for the opportunity to be put under a spell by Skylr Monaghan, a professional hypnotist.

Some will be voted off the island, some will fall into a trance and say and do some silly things, and there will be lots of drama to talk about later. The event is sponsored by the high school’s chapter of DECA, an organization for students interested in marketing, and proceeds from the evening will be used to pay for the students’  attendance at the DECA state competition in February.

Tickets for Skylr’s show, which can be purchased at the door, are $10.00 each, or $34 for families of up to four; each additional family member will be charged $5.00 per ticket.  Raffles for the chance to go onstage to be hypnotized cost $1.00 each.  Refreshments will be sold before and after the show. For more information, e-mail DECA vice president Gopi Patolia.
