MyVeronaNJ-Jersey-ShoreLike every other long-term resident of this state, I know the correct answer to “What exit?” and that we go “down the shore” and not “down to the shore” (or, heaven forbid, the beach). I don’t, however, get the appeal of the MTV reality show “Jersey Shore”.

Several hundred people apparently do, and our neighboring local news site Baristanet reports that they caused a backup in Montclair last night as they tried to get into an event at the 501 Club featuring the cast of “Jersey Shore”. An editorial thumbs up to Baristanet for coining the term “Snook-alike” to describe the underdressed wannabes that dominated the crowd. The site has several posts on the mayhem and fashion faux pas.
