Verona native Maria Vlahos was in Verona Park recently filming a movie  for a class at Fairfield University, where she is a student. Entitled “Prince Leonides,” the film, which she is directing, is about a 7-year-old boy who starts a “war” during school recess, in the style of the Spartans he used to read about with his beloved late grandfather. Vlahos plans to submit the film, which is in Greek and English, to local and national film festivals in Greece and the United States.
