Yes, off in the distance there are the barriers that go up on Verona Park Lake when ice skating is about to begin. They were put out on the ice today, which can mean only one thing: Get your skates ready to go. The barriers are pretty far across the lake, so we could be looking at some of the best skating in years. We’ll flash the words GO SKATING on this site as soon as we get the word that the lake is open.
