Christmas and Hanukkah are around the corner, and so is a lot of cardboard. By disposing of that cardboard in the right way, your gifts can keep on giving.
Instead of placing your cardboard at the curb, the Verona Environmental Commission is asking you to take it to Verona’s recycling center on Commerce Court. Cardboard takes up a lot of room in garbage trucks and landfills, so recycling it will cut Verona’s disposal fees. It also can earn the town a little money when the used cardboard is sold to recycled packaging companies.
The Commerce Court recycling center is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. In addition to cardboard, the VEC reminds you that you can recycle white office and computer paper, mixed paper, and telephone books there, as well as bottles and cans, and all electronics.[mappress]
