Theatre Arts Dance America will be staging several performances of The Nutcracker Divertissement beginning Friday, December 18.
TADA’s Nutcracker is a shortened version of the full-length ballet and features 48 dancers, ages 4 to 18, from Cedar Grove, Verona, Montclair and the Caldwells. The performance, choreographed by former American Ballet Company soloist and principle dancer Elaine Kudo, lasts approximately one hour.
The first performance will be Friday, December 18 at 7:00 p.m. in the dance company’s Vincent J. Lalomia Theatre at 544 Bloomfield Avenue. There will be four additional performances at the theater on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 20 at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. Tickets for these performances are $12 and may be purchased at the theater. Seating is limited. TADA will also give a free performance of the Nutcracker at Verona High School, 2 p.m. on Dec. 23.
